The Client.

HKwalls is a non-profit arts organization dedicated to creating opportunities for local and international artists to showcase their talent through street art and culture. Their annual festival is the cornerstone of Hong Kong’s "Art March," transforming the city’s urban surfaces into an open-air gallery. The 2026 edition featured over 20 artists across 14 countries, introducing the ambitious "Art on the Move" project - a mobile exhibition where artists transformed logistics trucks into roving masterpieces.

The Challenge.

A large-scale street art festival is a logistical puzzle of "moving targets." With multiple murals being painted simultaneously across Central, alongside live art battles at PMQ and digital takeovers on city-wide LED screens, the window to capture high-quality content is narrow. It was important to guarantee that the videographer was in the right place at the right time to capture the most critical, unrepeatable moments of the 8-day event.

The Solution.

I acted as the Producer, bridging the gap between the festival’s artistic vision and the way it is communicated digitaly. My approach focused on rigorous tracking and real-time adaptability:

  • Strategic Scheduling: Mapped out an 8-day comprehensive production calendar, aligning videographer movement with artist progress and festival highlights.

  • Multi-Channel Communication Management: Monitored and synthesised real-time updates from several dedicated communication streams (including artist groups, photography teams, and organising committees) to pivot schedules instantly as painting speeds and locations changed.

  • Priority Identification: Collaborated directly with festival organisers to define high-priority content needs, ensuring the most impactful "hero" moments were captured for future promotional use.

  • Real-time Content Mapping: Maintained a dynamic tracking document that mapped filmed footage against the festival's requirements, allowing the videographer to identify and fill "content gaps" before the festival concluded.

The Impact.

100% Content Coverage

Successfully captured all identified "must-not-miss" moments, resulting in a comprehensive digital archive of the 2026 festival.
